"You're all paranoid, Dan" -- Roseanne from "A Stash from the Past"

San Francisco has been pushing these anti-drugs advertisements hard lately. Many of them focus on methamphetamines, the drug of choice of gay men, I guess.

I really like these ads because they're hilarious. They had this one with a close up face shot of a guy with lots of zits and the tag line was, "The choice should be clear." They had this one of an asian guy on all fours and looking back towards the camera and the tag line was, "The party life isn't all that it's cracked up to be.", which they replaced with this one because I guess the other one wss too offensive.

When I first say this one a moment of clarity came over me. It all made sense now. I had this one encounter with an acquaintance and all he ever did was look out the windows over and over. At that time I just thought maybe he had a boyfriend or something and he was on the lookout. I was really naive and oblivious to all that back then.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's terrible what drugs can do to people and I sympathize and am not judging anyone's lifestyle. I think I'm just judging the people who came up with these tag lines.
